Who doesn’t love the look of classic Tula Bakelite AK mags? We know we do! Due to environmental hazards no modern nation will allow the thermoset manufacturing process used to make the classic version. So we created our own homage variant of our premium AK magazine, the MAG47 Elite. Now if you own Bakelite ak magazines you can let them sit in your safe and appreciate in value! Our MAG47 Elite Fakelite looks incredible and is far superior in strength to the original AK-47 Bakelite mags that were notoriously brittle. Our mags feature steel reinforced feedlips and locking lugs with a solid machined steel rear lug.

Thousands of our customers asked us for a “Slab Side” MAG47mil so we created exactly that with the MAG47 Eilte. The MAG47 Elite is identical to our MAG47mil Gen 2 30rd AK47 magazine. We just replaced the waffle pattern with a smooth aka “Slab Side”. Outside of the aesthetic change to smooth versus waffle, the overall profile of the magazine is thinner by .090″ versus the MAG47mil Gen 2. The thickness of the MAG47 Elite is 1.075″ so it will more easily fit with tight magazine pouches, work with aftermarket magazine wells, fit into the Galil Ace Gen1, and more easily work with table top loaders.
